Image Converter for PNG, JPEG & GIF App revisa

I have been using Image Converter for more than 3 years. It is very useful to compress my photos enabling efficient storage and usage (email, ppt). It is free. Never had an issue. Opens easy, does not affect computer spped. In summary, perfect. I´va had several computers, and always add it to my toolkit. Highly recommended. They earned this review!

Effecient way to batch convert images without using a higher end program.

Crashes constantly, utterly useless!

I take a lot of screen shots of book covers to add to a database. Being able to reduce the large size of the pngs to jpg saves a ton of space and still has the quality I need.

It would be so much better if we could preview the images and the resulting file sizes...

I have been testing this for a few days now and comparing the output with a windows program I have used for a long time. So far the quality and speed is close to what I have been using.

I tried it to see if it would convert a TIFF image in LAB color to TIFF or PNG RGB color. It never got that far because it would not keep the original image size. The largest image size it can export is 1080x1920. The original image was 1200x1800. I was not interested in resizing the image, just converting the format. If you need a program for converting formats without resizing this is not the one to use.

I tried several apps before this, and they didn't work properly with PNGs. I'm so relieved, I was getting so frustrated with not having a fast and easy way to convernt hi-res image files. Thank you for creating this app. Sincerly, an exhausted artist.

I have been organizing my photos and needed a batch converter to move .heic to .jpg's in order to use on later.com. I do wish you could keep the original capture date though, but not a big deal to me for what I needed this for.

really easy to use, took a picture with my iphone and it was a ".HEIC" that wouldnt upload to my work website, downloaded this app and converted it to .jpg and uploaded just fine!!!!

Its supper simple. My biggest use is optimizing for web. Super easy to use.

I use this all the time to resize & compress images. Works great. I usually find it works best to resize, exit, reopen, and then compress. Thank you for the convenient app.

When I try to compress an animated GIF with this software, the final result is a NON-animated GIF.

I do a lot of image converting, and this app does it flawlessly. One advantage of this app is that you can subsequently remove the finder white frame that is almost impossible to get rid of without a lot of effort. The conversion program I used to use didn’t allow this. Since I save everything in png format, I wish it would allow me to select it permanently, but jpg is the default, so I have to keep changing it. A minor problem, really.

I was looking for an image resizer that will maintain the sharpness and quality of photos when resizing them. The resulting photo (3000x3000 pixels down to 450x450 pixels) was blurry and unusable for my blog.

No complex editing program needed. Thank god there are programs to do the job perfectly for non-techies as me :)
